Walid ibn Mughira (Arabic: الوليد بن المغيرة) was the chief of the Banu Makhzum clan of the Quraish Tribe. His clan was responsible for warfare, and he was wealthy. These two factors combined to make him proficient in warfare.

His son Khalid was a prominent sahabi of the prophet.
His father was Mughirah ibn Abd-Allah and his son was Khalid ibn al-Walid and Ammarah ibn Walid [1]. He also had a daughter named Najiyah bint al-Walid ibn al-Mughira who was married to Safwan ibn Umayya.
There was a person named Umar ibn Walid ibn Mughīrah, although it is unclear if he was the son of Walīd.
